Hull City and Bristol City both fail to find the net during the first half of tonight's Championship encounter at the KC Stadium.

Hull City and Bristol City have played out a goalless first half in tonight's Championship encounter at the KC Stadium.

Victory for the home side would move them to within a point of automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The first proper chance of the night came the visitors' way as Albert Adomah's strike from 20 yards was gathered by David Stockdale.

Hull struggled during the opening stages, but they nearly took the lead on 24 minutes when Robbie Brady flashed his shot just wide.

The hosts wanted a penalty on 33 minutes as Gedo went down under the challenge of Lewis Nyatanga. However, the referee correctly waved away the appeals from the players and supporters.

Hull finished the half in the ascendancy as Stephen Quinn and Gedo both blasted their efforts over the crossbar.
