Hull City manager Steve Bruce has confirmed that goalkeeper Allan McGregor has been ruled out for one month with a shoulder injury.
The 32-year-old has started all six of the Tigers' Premier League games this season and has conceded 11 goals in the process.
Bruce confirmed the news in his weekly press conference this afternoon, meaning that the player will be absent from this Saturday's home game against Crystal Palace at the KC Stadium.
"We're just delighted he doesn't need an operation, because we thought it might," said Bruce. "The specialist has said we need to rest, and stop diving on it. Hopefully, in four to six weeks he'll be back to normal."
McGregor, who joined Hull from Besiktas last year, will also miss Scotland's Euro 2016 qualifiers against Georgia and Poland.
Steve Harper is likely to deputise during McGregor's absence.
