Steve Bruce: 'I'd consider Hull City future if club is not ambitious'

Hull City boss Steve Bruce reveals that he will consider his future with the Tigers if the club's ambitions do not match his ahead of the new campaign.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has revealed that he will consider his future at the club if the board's ambitions do not match his for the forthcoming season.

The Tigers are preparing for Championship football following their relegation from the Premier League on the final day of last season, with Bruce expected to meet owner Assem Allam later this week.

Bruce has said that he is looking for Hull's hierarchy to help him to push the club forward.

"I'm hoping that on Thursday, we can all sit down and navigate a plan to get us back to where we all want to be," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"If that's the case then I'll be perfectly happy. If not, then I'll ask the question of exactly what they want to do. If I don't think we have a chance of getting back up, I would consider my position.

"But I still believe when we have the meeting on Thursday, I will be given a chance to rebuild this side. We have three weeks and a lot can be done in three weeks. I'm confident this meeting on Thursday will be beneficial to everyone."

Bruce guided Hull to promotion from the Championship in 2013.
