Hull City manager Steve Bruce has revealed that he is resigned to losing Irish international Robbie Brady this summer.
The 23-year-old winger has been linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Norwich City in recent weeks.
Bruce had rejected the Canaries' initial approaches for the player, but has now admitted that Brady will leave the KC Stadium before the transfer window closes.
"I have done everything I can to try and persuade Robbie to stay here and help us get back into the Premier League at the first attempt," Bruce is quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"But he's had two seasons in the top flight with us and that's where he wants to carry on playing again next season, it's as simple as that.
"That's the bottom line for Robbie and I just have to face up to the fact that, even though I don't want him to go, I'm resigned to losing him."
Brady, who has three goals in 13 appearances for the Republic of Ireland, began his career with Manchester United before joining Hull in 2013.
