Preview: Hull City vs. Sunderland

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Premier League clash between Hull City and Sunderland.

Hull City will be looking for their first win in four Premier League outings when they face Sunderland on Saturday.

Steve Bruce's side have drawn one and lost two of their last three games, including a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Hull were also knocked out of the League Cup on Wednesday evening by the same opponents.

Sunderland ended a run of six consecutive league defeats when they beat rivals Newcastle United last weekend, which was the club's first win under new boss Gus Poyet.

The victory means that the Black Cats are four points adrift of safety in 19th place.

Robert Koren and Stephen Quinn could start after both returned to the Hull side for the League Cup defeat against Spurs. Steve Harper is expected to deputise for injured goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

Poyet could name the same Sunderland side that beat Newcastle, with Jozy Altidore and Steven Fletcher continuing their partnership in attack.

Fabio Borini, who scored the winning goal against the Magpies last week, may have to settle for a place on the bench.
