Report: Hull City plot Sulley Muntari swoop

Hull City manager Steve Bruce wants to continue his January business with the signing of AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari, according to a report.

Hull City reportedly want to continue their January spending with the signing of AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari, who is said to be open to the potential move.

The Tigers had an impressive first half of the season but have lost three Premier League games in a row, slipping to within five points of the relegation zone in the process.

Manager Steve Bruce has already signed strike duo Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic for a combined total of £14m in this transfer window and he now wants to recruit £3.9m-rated Muntari to aid his fight against the drop, according to the Daily Star.

The Ghanian midfielder played for Bruce during a loan spell at Sunderland, but has since moved to Milan where he was a regular under Massimiliano Allegri, who was sacked by the San Siro outfit last week.

Clarence Seedorf has been appointed as Allegri's successor and he dropped Muntari to the bench for the 1-0 win over Hellas Verona on Sunday night, leading to speculation that Milan are looking to sell the 29-year-old this month before his contract expires at the end of the season.
