Half-Time Report: Inter Milan hold advantage at the break

Inter Milan are 45 minutes away from their first win of Roberto Mancini's second spell after taking a 1-0 lead in at half time against Chievo.

Inter Milan are 45 minutes away from their first Serie A win in three after taking a 1-0 lead in at half time against Chievo.

Mateo Kovacic gave the visitors the lead on 19 minutes when he made the most of some indecision at the back post to pounce on a loose ball and stroke home.

Roberto Mancini's side continued to press after the opener, although Maurco Icardi was unable to make a telling connection on a ball into the box as they searched for a second.

The home side were nearly level when Riccardo Meggiorini tried an ambitious overhead kick, but he was denied by an impressive save from Samir Handanovic in the Inter goal just after the half-hour mark.
