Massimo Moratti admits that changes are needed at Inter Milan after their disappointing season.

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has admitted that failure to qualify for Europe means that the club must rebuild ahead of next season.

Moratti put a large part of the season in which they have lost more Serie A games than ever before in Inter's history down to injuries, but said that things must change.

"The Lazio defeat is the mirror of a bad season; we were already in bad shape because of injuries and then Jonathan got hurt straight away," ANSA.it quotes Moratti as saying.

"The match could end up in the opposite way but this year it just hasn't, so we need to rebuild."

Inter are currently eighth in Serie A, five points behind Lazio.
