Inter Milan line up Roberto Mancini after sacking Walter Mazzarri?

Inter Milan sack head coach Walter Mazzarri with the club ninth in the Serie A table, and reportedly plan to replace him with former manager Roberto Mancini.

Inter Milan have sacked head coach Walter Mazzarri and are believed to have immediately offered the vacancy to former manager Roberto Mancini.

The Italian giants are languishing in ninth in Serie A following just four victories from 11 games this season.

Mazzarri, who was appointed Inter boss in the summer of 2013, has paid the price for this sluggish start and was axed on Friday morning with a 44.64% win rate from his 56 competitive matches in charge.

Sky Sports News claims that Inter are acting quickly in their search for a replacement and have already offered Mancini, who led them to three successive Serie A titles from 2006 to 2008, a return to the San Siro.

The ex-Manchester City boss is currently out of work having left Galatasaray at the end of last campaign.
