Inverness Caledonian Thistle have missed the chance to overtake second-placed Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League table with a 0-0 draw at home to St Johnstone.
Mehdi Abeid curled an early shot wide for the visitors before Andrew Shinnie headed over the bar at the other end.
Abeid had another effort on goal in the final stages of the half, but his effort flashed narrowly wide.
Saints goalkeeper Alan Mannus was called into action twice at the start of the second period as he kept out Owain Tudur Jones and Aaron Doran.
Mannus made sure that his side came away with a point late on when he clawed away Ross Draper's header.
