Mick McCarthy content with Ipswich Town point

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy is satisfied with Saturday's 1-1 draw against Peterborough United at Portman Road.

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has insisted that he is satisfied with Saturday's 1-1 draw against Peterborough United at Portman Road.

The Tractor Boys were booed off by their own fans at half time after Lee Tomlin had given the away side the lead.

However, DJ Campbell converted a penalty on the hour to give the hosts a share of the spoils.

"The crowd were right to boo us off at half time," said McCarthy. "I didn't have a problem with that, but thankfully we did improve in the second half and played with a bit more intensity.

"We'd been poor, but there was definitely a response from everyone in the second half, from the players and the crowd. We deserved a point, that's for sure."

Despite Saturday's draw, Ipswich remain in the relegation zone.
