The Championship's two bottom clubs, Ipswich and Peterborough, play out a 1-1 draw at Portman Road.

DJ Campbell netted a second-half penalty to gain Ipswich Town a point against fellow strugglers Peterborough United at Portman Road this afternoon.

The visitors took the lead in the eighth minute when a drop of Lee Tomlin's shoulder fooled both Danny Higginbotham and Aaron Cresswell, with the Posh frontman applying the finish in plenty of space.

The remainder of the first half was dominated by the visitors as Ipswich struggled to string together passes.

Mick McCarthy's side did manage to level the scores soon after the interval from the spot.

Lee Martin tumbled under the challenge of Posh goalscorer Tomlin, with DJ Campbell applying the finish from 12 yards.

Higginbotham saw a looping header tipped over by Bobby Olejnik with Ipswich's best chance of the remaining minutes, while Peterborough twice came close through Tomlin and half-time substitute Dwight Gale.

Ipswich drop a place to 23rd as Posh stay bottom.
