Paul Jewell's side ran out 3-0 winners to jump six places to 13th in the Championship table.

Coventry defender Martin Cranie turned the ball into his own net to give Ipswich a 7th minute lead.

Ireland international Keith Andrews then doubled their advantage with his fourth goal in five games since moving on loan from Blackburn.

Former Wigan striker Jason Scotland slotted home midway through the second half to secure the points.

The victory was also their first clean sheet of the campaign, having conceded 18 goals in their first six games.

Ipswich travel to table toppers Middlesbrough on Saturday while Coventry host Reading.
