Ipswich Town are reportedly prepared to offer a contract to Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
The former Manchester United trainee is currently a free agent following his release by Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of last season.
He has been unable to train in recent months because of a broken leg that he sustained back in April, but having made a recovery, his former manager at Wolves, Mick McCarthy, has expressed an interest in signing him at Ipswich, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.
While no deal has been confirmed, it is expected that the 27-year-old will agree terms at Portman Road until the end of the season.
Prior to his injury, Ebanks-Blake scored 15 goals for Wolves last term.
