A report suggests that Lee Camp is nearing a transfer from Nottingham Forest to Ipswich Town.

Championship side Ipswich Town are reportedly close to signing Northern Ireland goalkeeper Lee Camp.

The 28-year-old has been told by Nottingham Forest manager Alex McLeish that he is free to find himself a new club during the ongoing transfer window.

Despite the fact that Scott Loach has impressed between the posts for Ipswich in recent weeks, boss Mick McCarthy is eager to secure the services of Camp, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

The report has also claimed that Camp is one of five new players that McCarthy is hoping to add to his squad before the end of the month.

Colchester United midfielder Anthony Wordsworth is also said to be in talks with the Portman Road-based outfit.
