Wilfried Bony: 'World Cup group is wide open'

Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony believes that his country's group at the World Cup could be won by any of the four teams involved.

Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony has claimed that his country's group at the World Cup is wide open.

The Ivorians will meet Colombia and Greece in Group C after getting their campaign underway against Japan on Sunday.

"Any team could win it or finish bottom," Bony told the South Wales Evening Post. "The first game is hugely important against Japan. If we could win that game then it would really give us a good chance of progressing."

Bony has scored eight goals in 23 games for Ivory Coast since making his debut back in 2008.
