Nasser Al-Khelaifi: Zlatan Ibrahimovic 'will retire at Paris Saint-Germain'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will ignore interest from other European clubs and see out his playing career at PSG, according to the club's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has indicated to him his intention to end his career with the French champions.

Following his reported £15.7m switch from AC Milan, the Swedish striker's 30-goal haul inspired PSG to their first Ligue 1 title since 1994 last season, and he has continued his excellent scoring form this term.

He has netted 11 times in his last seven games, and recently signed a contract extension to 2016 at Parc des Princes, but that has not stopped him being linked with other giants of European football.

Juventus are one club that apparently hold an interest in him, but Al-Khelaifi, who feels that the 32-year-old is one of the top three players in the world, is adamant that he will see out his playing days at PSG.

"He's said he wanted to retire at this club and it will be his last club," Al-Khelaifi told BBC Sport: "I am not worried at all.

"I think he is one of the best three players in the world. He deserves to be the best player in the world this year with the things he is doing."

Ibrahimovic is the most expensive footballer in history in combined transfer fees, having cost the six clubs that have purchased him a total of £150m.
