Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente has opened talks with Juventus regarding a move to the Italian club in the summer.
The 27-year-old's contract at Bilbao expires at the end of the season and after he announced that he would be leaving the Spanish club, the Serie A leaders have been granted permission to speak with Llorente.
A club statement read: "Juventus Football Club informed Athletic Club on January 3 that, knowing Fernando Llorente will end his stint at our club on June 30, 2013, they will begin negotiations with the player to incorporate him into their squad."
Llorente has scored just two goals in 16 appearances for Bilbao this season.
