Former Kilmarnock defender Garry Hay rules out returning to the Scottish club this summer.

Former Kilmarnock defender Garry Hay has admitted that returning to the club this summer is not an option.

It had been suggested that the 35-year-old, who departed Rugby Park at the end of last season, would be handed a coaching role for the new campaign.

"There are no hard feelings or grudges with Killie. With Kenny parting ways and Jimmy Nicholl leaving too, it was always going to be very difficult after that," he told Sky Sports News.

"I'm still doing stuff coaching some of the younger lads at pro-youth level. But going back isn't an option. I haven't heard from the new management at the club and I don't expect to. I'm looking forward now."

Hay made over 300 league appearances for the Scottish outfit.
