After kicking off the new Super Lig season with a 3-2 away victory over Kasımpasa, Konyaspor have since struggled to gain any points, losing 2-1 to Galatasaray and 3-1 to newly-promoted Bodrumspor in their most recent match.
The Anadolu Kartali fell behind when Adil Demirbag turned the ball into his own net in the 28th minute, and matters worsened when George Puscas scored a second for Bodrum in the 40th minute.
Pedrinho halved the deficit for Ali Camdali's side before the break, but their fate was sealed when Kenan Ozer stepped up to convert a penalty for Bodrum in the 87th minute.
Konyaspor have three points from a possible nine, leaving them in 12th place heading into the clash with Kayserispor, a side they have dominated over the years.
The Anatolian Eagles have not lost any of their last 10 Super Lig encounters against Saturday's opponents, including six wins and four draws.
However, the Konya-based side have lost their last two league matches on home soil dating back to the previous season – both against Galatasaray.

Kayserispor will be hoping to get off the mark this season, having only played one match so far, which ended in a 2-1 defeat against Sivasspor.
The Anatolian Star took the lead in the 14th minute through Miguel Cardoso, but they quickly relinquished it as Uros Radakovic levelled three minutes later before scoring a second in the second half to hand Sivasspor all three points.
After finishing in 14th place last season, just two points above the relegation zone while employing three different managers, Kayserispor would be hoping to avoid being in the same situation this season.
However, the visitors are on a five-match winless streak away at Konyaspor, including three defeats and two draws – and a similar result here could make things difficult.
