Mark Cooper flattered to be linked with Leeds United

Swindon Town boss Mark Cooper admits that it is flattering to be considered a candidate for the Leeds United manager's job.

Swindon Town manager Mark Cooper has admitted that he is flattered to be linked with the current vacancy at Leeds United.

Cooper is just one of a number of names tipped to be in the running to replace Dave Hockaday, and he concedes that it is humbling to be reportedly under consideration at a club where his father, Terry, made over 200 appearances.

"It's always flattering to be associated with jobs and especially Leeds, with the family history," the Swindon boss is quoted as saying by the Yorkshire Evening Post. "But I've got a big job on here.

"I've started a project, its going the right way and I'm thoroughly enjoying myself."

Leeds are currently 18th in the Championship with six points from three matches.
