Leeds's Steve Evans: 'Tommaso Bianchi, Casper Sloth, Jordan Botaka must impress'

Recently-appointed Leeds United head coach Steve Evans challenges Tommaso Bianchi, Casper Sloth and Jordan Botaka to "bring things to the party".

Recently-appointed Leeds United head coach Steve Evans has challenged Tommaso Bianchi, Casper Sloth and Jordan Botaka to "bring things to the party".

The former Rotherham United manager replaced Uwe Rosler last month, and Evans insists that he is prepared to give underperforming Leeds players a chance to impress.

"When I was at Rotherham I found a young lad called Ben Pringle in the cupboard as he wasn't playing in the first team," Evans told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "He was a terrific talent and still is a terrific talent. And I have found some players in the cupboard here.

"Alex Mowatt was partly in the cupboard wasn't he because he was terrific last year and I want to see what Bianchi can bring to the party, I want to see what Casper Sloth can bring to the party, I want to see what Botaka can bring to the party.

"If they are not going to bring things to the party then take your party hat off and go somewhere else."

Leeds will take on Rotherham United in their next Championship fixture on Saturday, November 21.
