Neil Redfearn delighted with Italian influence at Leeds United

Neil Redfearn is delighted with the impact of Leeds United's Italian imports after Giuseppe Bellusci and Mirco Antenucci scored in the win at Bournemouth.

Neil Redfearn has applauded the influence of Leeds United's Italian imports after they helped the club to a 3-1 Championship win over Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Giuseppe Bellusci scored a 30-yard free kick and Mirco Antenucci a late third as the managerless Whites came from behind to beat the Cherries at Dean Court.

Caretaker boss Redfearn was taken aback by the quality of defender Bellusci's strike, but is not surprised with how Massimo Cellino's signings are having a positive impact, having seen how they have 'bought into' the club's philosophy.

"It was an outstanding goal from Giuseppe," he told reporters. "I didn't see that coming, when he was lining up I thought it has got to go in or hit row Z otherwise they will break away. It was outstanding.

"The Italians are buying into what we are doing and it is a pleasure to watch and work with. Mirco is doing English lessons, he even understands a few swear words now, they love the game."

Leeds are 13th in the Championship table having won two and drawn one of their last three games.
