Report: Neil Redfearn in frame for Leeds United job

Leeds United caretaker boss Neil Redfearn is in contention for the manager's role on a full-time basis, according to a report.

Neil Redfearn is reportedly in contention for the manager's job at Leeds United on a full-time basis.

The 49-year-old took caretaker charge of first-team affairs following the sacking of Dave Hockaday last month.

Redfearn, who has been working at the club's academy since 2009, guided the Whites to a 1-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers last Saturday in his first game as caretaker boss.

Leeds owner Massimo Cellino is said to be looking through numerous applications for the role after seeing his first-choice option Oscar Garcia join Watford as their new head coach last week.

According to The Mirror, Cellino has been impressed by the job that Redfearn has done at Elland Road so far.

Redfearn is preparing the team for their trip to Birmingham City on Saturday.
