Uwe Rosler tipped as favourite for Leeds United job

Former Wigan Athletic boss Uwe Rosler is rumoured to be on the verge of joining Leeds United.

Former Wigan Athletic boss Uwe Rosler has been tipped as the frontrunner for the vacant Leeds United manager job.

The club is speaking to three candidates for the role and the German has emerged as the favourite, according to Sky Sports News.

Rosler's appointment could be imminent as Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has been quoted as saying that he is hoping to name a successor to Neil Redfearn this week.

Redfearn is contracted to the club until June 30, but is unlikely to continue in the hotseat after being labelled "weak" and "a baby" by Cellino.

The current head coach is contractually entitled to return to his old position in charge of the Leeds academy in the event of his dismissal as manager.
