Connor Wickham has said that his mind was made up once Leeds United were interested in signing him on loan.
The 20-year-old striker completed a move to Elland Road until the end of the season this afternoon from Sunderland.
"Once I heard Leeds were interested in signing me there were no other choices and no doubt I wanted to come," he told Leeds's website.
The England Under-21 international is believed to have turned down the chance to rejoin Sheffield Wednesday, for whom he scored against Leeds during a loan spell at Hillsborough earlier this season.
"I played against Leeds earlier this season with Sheffield Wednesday. The potential here is big. There are some players here that I know already, and the team is looking to push towards the playoffs. Hopefully I can help with that," he added.
"I just want to play football and do the best I can, and hopefully push the team into the promotion picture."
Wickham should make his Leeds debut on Saturday against Queens Park Rangers.
