Reported Leeds United target Lee Erwin has been offered a new contract by Motherwell.
The Scottish club confirmed this afternoon that Erwin was one of three players - Lionel Ainsworth and John Sutton being the others - presented with fresh terms.
However, the 21-year-old striker has been strongly linked with a switch to Leeds and Well boss Ian Baraclough admitted that it would be tough to keep all three.
"We hope they will stay, but face completion for all three," he told the club website.
If Erwin does leave for Leeds, Motherwell will receive a six-figure compensation sum.
The forward helped Motherwell stay in the Scottish top flight as they beat Rangers over two legs in a playoff, but his season ended on a sour note as he was involved in a bust-up with Bilel Mohsni at the end of Sunday's second leg.
