Claudio Ranieri: 'Leicester City close to special achievement'

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri admits that his side are closing in on "something special" as they attempt to reach the last 16 of the Champions League.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has admitted that his team are close to achieving "something special" in the Champions League.

The Foxes have marked their first appearance in the competition with three successive wins, and a fourth victory against FC Copenhagen on Wednesday would book their place in the knockout stages.

However, while Ranieri is thinking about possible progression to the last 16, he has acknowledged that his team face a stern test in Denmark.

The Italian is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "We are very close to achieving something special. We can write a new chapter of Leicester's story.

"Maybe it's not tomorrow. It's important to be well organised as I respect Copenhagen a lot."

The reverse fixture at the King Power Stadium ended in a 1-0 victory for the Premier League champions.
