Zenit St Petersburg manager Roberto Mancini is not interested in replacing Craig Shakespeare as head coach of Leicester City, according to a report.

Roberto Mancini is reportedly not interested in replacing Craig Shakespeare as head coach of Leicester City.

The former Premier League champions are currently on the lookout for a new manager after Shakespeare was relieved of his duties on Tuesday, just four months after being handed the role on a permanent basis.

It had been claimed that Mancini, who is currently in charge of Zenit St Petersburg, was high on Leicester's list of possible replacements, but according to Sky Sports News, the 52-year-old is not considering a move to the King Power Stadium.

Former Manchester City manager Mancini had a short loan spell at Leicester as a player in 2001, making four league appearances for the Foxes.

Michael Appleton has been placed in temporary charge of Leicester, who will look to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they visit Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.
