Nigel Pearson has hailed the "outstanding" performance of Esteban Cambiasso in Leicester City's 2-1 victory over West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
The experienced 34-year-old midfielder, who has previously enjoyed spells Real Madrid and Inter Milan, produced an inspired display to help his side on their way to a rare win.
It was just a fifth Premier League victory of the season for the Foxes, with Cambiasso's well-taken strike opening the scoring for the relegation strugglers.
"Even if he hadn't scored the goal, I would still have said he was man of the match," Pearson is quoted as saying by ITV Sport. "And with the goal, I think it is pretty obvious he was. I think he was outstanding.
"I was really pleased with his contribution against West Ham and the other players have a very healthy respect for him."
Next up for Leicester, who are now just four points from safety, is a trip to West Bromwich Albion.
