Leicester City manager Claude Puel reserves special praise for Jamie Vardy following his side's come-from-behind 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has said that he is "happy" to have seen his side return to winning ways following a five-game streak without a victory.

The Foxes came from behind to beat rock-bottom West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns this afternoon, eventually running out 4-1 winners courtesy of goals from Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, Kelechi Iheanacho and Vicente Iborra.

Vardy's equaliser was a goal of particularly high quality as he volleyed Mahrez's pass home, and Puel reserved special praise for the England international.

"It was a good opportunity, a fantastic goal, it's a second goal he's scored with his quality. It was difficult to take the ball and he is a good player," the Frenchman told reporters at his post-match press conference.

"We are happy to win the game, but it's not just the result but the quality we can put onto the pitch. We tried to start well but it wasn't enough. We lacked some confidence after our last draw at home.

"The first half was too open, we could have finished it 3-3. It was important to come back with more quality and we found the clinical edge."

The result sees Leicester reach the 40-point mark in the Premier League, and they are now only five points adrift of sixth-placed Arsenal.
