Report: Leicester City to approach Marcelo Bielsa to become their new manager

A report suggests that Leicester City are making a bid to hire Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa as their new manager.

Leicester City have approached Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa to become their new manager, according to a report.

The Foxes sacked Nigel Pearson last month, citing "fundamental differences in perspective" as the reason for his dismissal, despite him guiding the club to safety in the Premier League last season.

Leicester's hierarchy are ready to talk to Bielsa and his representatives about potentially becoming their new manager, although the 59-year-old is currently preparing Marseille for the new Ligue 1 campaign, reports The Mirror.

The Midlands club are also said to be interested in former boss Martin O'Neill as an option to replace Pearson.
