Mark Schwarzer: 'Leicester City deserved more against Crystal Palace'

Leicester City goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes that his side were unlucky to lose against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Leicester City goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has claimed that his side were unlucky not to take something from their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Foxes carved out a number of chances at the King Power Stadium but went down 1-0 thanks to Joe Ledley's header early in the second half.

Schwarzer has admitted that the team are disappointed to have tasted defeat following their performance.

"I think that we didn't get what we deserved out of the match. I think if you look at the amount of chances that we created and the way that we dominated play for the vast majority of the game, we come away bitterly disappointed having not got anything out of the game," he told Leicester's official website.

"If we'd have taken even half of our chances, we'd have won the game comfortably, but this wasn't the case. The crossbar stopped players from hitting the target from pretty good angles, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

"We got caught on a set play again, which is pretty disappointing because we felt we were pretty solid at the back, particularly when it came to set plays, and we've been caught out again, and that's disappointing."

Leicester are two points adrift at the bottom of the table following the result.
