Chelsea have reportedly missed out on a potential signing after Deportivo La Coruna opted to reject interest in a key player.
The Blues are known to be active in the transfer market with a number of squad and exiled players being heavily linked with transfers elsewhere.
If reports are to be believed, an alternative for Cesare Casadei has allegedly been identified, while Renato Veiga is on the brink of a loan exit.
Furthermore, Chelsea and Strasbourg being owned by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital - known as BlueCo - throws up the possibility of business being conducted by the two clubs.
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Boehly and co have failed to get a deal over the line for Yeremay Hernandez.

What was bid on the table?
Romano claims that BlueCo were prepared to invest €15m (£12.66m) into signing the 22-year-old, it unclear which club would have acquired the winger's services.
The report suggests that Deportivo officials have decided to retain the services of Yeremay until the end of the season.
This is despite the club sitting down in 15th position in the Segunda Division table, 11 points adrift of the top five.
Yeremay has contributed eight goals and three assists from his 19 appearances in the second tier of Spanish football during 2024-25.
He is yet to play any football in La Liga, though, which would have realistically likely seen him move to Strasbourg over Chelsea at this stage of his development
Deportivo have allegedly rejected proposals from Italy in order to keep hold of Yeremay, who holds a contract until 2030.

What next?
Whether BlueCo will renew their interest in Yeremay in the summer remains to be seen, it unclear whether he is a long-term target or a speculative possibility on the market.
His age fits in with their transfer model and they seemingly expect Yeremay to be valued far higher than the proposed €15m in the future.
Strasbourg have already agreed to sell defender Mamadou Sarr to Chelsea for a similar fee in the summer, that deal being reported earlier this week.
