Report: Leicester City win Demarai Gray race

A report claims that Leicester City have beaten a host of Premier League clubs to the signing of Birmingham City attacker Demarai Gray.

Leicester City have reportedly won the race to sign Birmingham City's in-demand attacker Demarai Gray.

The 19-year-old is believed to be a transfer target for a number of Premier League clubs after impressing during his time in the Championship.

Last month, the Englishman, who is closing on 80 league appearances for his current club, claimed that he was "happy" at Birmingham amid suggestions that he could seek pastures new in the upcoming winter transfer window.

According to The Mirror, however, Leicester have beaten the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Bournemouth to the teenager's signature and he will move to the King Power Stadium this month.

It is understood that Gray can leave Birmingham for less than £4m due to a clause in his contract.
