Report: Raphael Varane, Alvaro Arbeloa to start against Liverpool

Raphael Varane and Alvaro Arbeloa are both expected to start for Real Madrid in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Liverpool.

Raphael Varane and Alvaro Arbeloa will both reportedly come into the Real Madrid defence for Tuesday's Champions League fixture against Liverpool.

Los Blancos' first-choice back four this season has consisted of Dani Carvajal, Pepe, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo.

However, with Pepe expected to be rested and Carvajal out of action with a hamstring problem, head coach Carlo Ancelotti will make two changes to his side.

Gareth Bale has returned to training following a hip problem, but the Welshman is not expected to be involved from the start at the Bernabeu.
