Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is allegedly planning to leave striker Christian Benteke out of the squad to face Bordeaux in the Europa League.
The Irishman does not want to risk injury to his £32m summer signing and is planning to take Divock Origi to France instead, reports The Mirror.
Rodgers is said to have prioritised this weekend's Premier League meeting with Norwich City over the Bordeaux clash, but will use the fixture to ease Adam Lallana back into the fold after a spell on the sidelines.
Goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has also been tipped to make his Liverpool debut in France, while Philippe Coutinho - who missed last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Manchester United through suspension - will travel with his teammates.
