Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Bournemouth

Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and team news for title hopefuls Liverpool ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Liverpool suffered another blow to their title hopes on Monday night as they were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Jurgen Klopp's side missed the chance to restore their five-point lead at the top of the table and have now won just two of their six games across all competitions since the turn of the year.

The Reds will know that they cannot afford any more slip-ups heading into Saturday's match against Bournemouth, although their plight has been affected by a string of injuries, particularly in defence.

Klopp will be hopeful that those problems are beginning to clear up now, and the return of some key players cannot come soon enough.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news ahead of this weekend's home game with Bournemouth.

LIVERPOOL'S INJURY LIST

Jordan Henderson

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: February 9

Captain Henderson was ruled out of Monday's match against West Ham with a muscular injury, but he has now returned to training and could be available in time for Saturday.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: February 9

The Reds were also without Wijnaldum at the London Stadium as they were forced to select a depleted midfield, but the Dutchman could recover from his knee injury in time for Saturday having also returned to training.

Dejan Lovren

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 19

Lovren returned to the bench for the recent draw with Leicester, but he was absent from the squad entirely on Monday night and has now not featured since January 7. Klopp admitted that he is unsure as to the timeframe of his recovery, although he hinted that the Champions League tie with Bayern Munich on February 19 could be an option.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: February 9

Liverpool could be boosted by the return of Alexander-Arnold, who has been sidelined since January 12. The full-back returned to full training this week.

Joe Gomez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Leg
Possible return date: March 31

It was hoped that Gomez might be close to a return by now, but his recovery is significantly behind schedule after he required surgery on his fractured lower leg and he is expected to be sidelined for another four to six weeks.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: March 31

Oxlade-Chamberlain remains a long-term absentee for Liverpool having been sidelined since last April, but there is light at the end of the tunnel for the midfielder, who could yet return before the end of the season.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match, nor do they have any players one yellow card away from a ban.
