Liverpool injury list and return dates for Aston Villa: Alisson, Jota, Chiesa latest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Now proudly sitting atop their Premier League perch once more, Liverpool host Aston Villa on Saturday evening in their final game before the international break.

The Reds capitalised on Arsenal and Manchester City's slip-ups last weekend with a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Brighton & Hove Albion, where Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah cancelled out a Ferdi Kadioglu strike.

Arne Slot's side hold a two-point lead over Man City in the Premier League table and prolonged their 100% start to the Champions League campaign in midweek, dismantling Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen by four goals to nil.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Villa, who lie sixth in the top-flight table after last weekend's 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out
Type of injury: Abdominal
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Diogo Jota is still on the mend from the abdominal injury he suffered against Chelsea last month, and the Portugal international will push to return for the Reds' first game back after the international break.

Alisson Becker

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Similarly, Alisson Becker is also recuperating from the hamstring injury he suffered against Crystal Palace at the start of October, so Caoimhin Kelleher will guard the posts once again.

Federico Chiesa

Status: Out
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Struggling to shake off some niggling injuries since coming to Anfield, Federico Chiesa has no chance of coming back in time for Saturday's game but will use the international break to hopefully get back up to speed.

Harvey Elliott

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: November 24 (vs. Southampton)

Harvey Elliott has spent almost two months recuperating from the foot fracture he sustained in September, but the England Under-21 international should be in with a chance of making his return before the end of the month.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match, but Alexis Mac Allister will incur a one-game ban if he picks up a yellow card, having been cautioned in each of the Reds' last four Premier League games.
