Liverpool's Emre Can 'could return to action for Chelsea clash'

Emre Can could play a part in Friday's clash against Chelsea after reportedly returning to training with Liverpool.

Emre Can could make his return to the Liverpool lineup for this Friday's clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old has been out of action for the last three weeks after suffering an ankle injury during the Reds' 5-0 victory over Burton Albion in the EFL Cup.

According to the Liverpool Echo, should Can come through this week's training unscathed, he could be included in Jurgen Klopp's matchday squad in West London.

Meanwhile, defender Dejan Lovren will be monitored by medical staff after he was forced to sit out of last weekend's 4-1 win over Leicester City with a black eye.
