Saint-Etienne's Christophe Galtier: 'Managing Liverpool is my dream job'

Saint-Etienne boss Christophe Galtier reveals that his "dream" would be to become Liverpool manager.

Saint-Etienne boss Christophe Galtier has revealed that it would be his "dream" to become Liverpool manager.

Current Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is under pressure after his side failed to make the FA Cup final following a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Wembley on Sunday.

The Northern Irishman guided Liverpool to second in the Premier League last season, but this term they look likely to finish outside of the Champions League places.

With regards to Galtier's future, the 47-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Newcastle United, but the Frenchman has made it clear where his desire is.

"If I had to choose my destination, I would go to Liverpool," Galtier told Canal Football Club. "It's my dream."

Galtier's Saint-Etienne side are currently fifth in Ligue 1.
