Norwich City striker Grant Holt admits that he would have mirrored the actions of Luis Suarez, who failed to alert officials to his handball offence, which led to Liverpool's winning goal over Mansfield Town.

Norwich City striker Grant Holt has claimed that Liverpool forward Luis Suarez was right not to bring his handball offence to the attention of the referee during the Reds' FA Cup third-round win over Mansfield Town.

The Premier League outfit secured a 2-1 victory over their non-league opponents yesterday but the winning goal should never have stood after footage showed Suarez handling the ball before it hit the back of the net.

While the Uruguay international has been criticised for not admitting his offence, Holt has revealed that he would have done the same thing.

Holt tweeted: "Don't care what you say i would not tell the ref if I handled it neither should of Suarez. Ref fault missed it."

Meanwhile, former Liverpool defender Alan Hansen has insisted that Suarez's handball was not deliberate.
