Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants "solution" to issue over ticket prices

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that the club wants to find a "solution" to the ticketing problem following Saturday's protest from fans.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that the club wants to find a "solution" to the issue surrounding the rise in ticket prices for next season.

Approximately 10,000 fans walked out of Anfield in the 77th minute of their side's match against Sunderland on Saturday in protest against the re-structure.

The club announced last week that tickets to six category A games, which include matches against Manchester United and Everton, will cost fans £77.

After supporters staged their walkout, Liverpool let a 2-0 lead slip and eventually had to settle for a 2-2 draw against the Black Cats.

It has been reported that the club's owners Fenway Sports Group will hold talks with the club officials about whether to review the new ticketing structure.

Klopp, who was absent from Saturday's match because he had his appendix removed, was asked about the protest today.

"It's not too easy for me to say too much, I heard about it of course but I've had a lot of things to do in the last few weeks," Klopp told reporters. "So now I know it's my problem too of course.

"But everything I say about this now will make it more complicated because I have to first of all collect some information but what I know is that everyone in the club has a big interest in finding a solution.

"It's not what we want of course. We don't want the people leaving the stadium before the game is finished. That's it, that's all I can say about this but when I heard it I was disappointed."

In the Premier League, Liverpool are ninth in the table.
