Liverpool reportedly agree a compensation package with Swansea for manager Brendan Rodgers.

Liverpool have reportedly agreed a compensation package with Swansea City for manager Brendan Rodgers.

Earlier reports had suggested that the Anfield club were stalling over a £5m-plus figure that had been demanded by the Swans.

However, according to Sky Sports News, a fee has now been agreed that will allow Rodgers and three of his Swansea backroom staff to move to Merseyside.

Rodgers, who yesterday stated his desire to manage the Reds, apparently had an unofficial agreement with City chairman Huw Jenkins whereby he would ensure the Welsh outfit were well compensated should a bigger club come in for his services.

The Northern Irishman earlier made the journey to Anfield to finalise personal terms on a three-year deal.
