Simon Mignolet: 'Fabio Borini can succeed at Sunderland'

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet believes that on-loan Sunderland striker Fabio Borini can be a success at the Stadium of Light.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet believes that striker Fabio Borini will enjoy playing his football at the Stadium of Light.

Borini is currently at Sunderland on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool, and Mignolet has backed the Italian to impress during his time at the Black Cats.

The 25-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I know that Fabio can do really good things over there, it's a place where he will enjoy playing football. Once he starts scoring goals, the fans will love him as well.

"I think that it's a very good place for him to be and he will definitely do well for the club. I'm hoping the club does well."

The 22-year-old is ineligible to compete against his parent club on Sunday when they meet on Wearside.
