Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers describes his side as "outstanding" following their 5-2 victory over Norwich City.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has hailed his side following their 5-2 thrashing of Norwich City at Carrow Road.

The Reds boss insisted that he was not surprised by the result, noting that only his team's conversion rate has been at fault in previous games.

"The team was outstanding. I'm not surprised because in a lot of our games we have played very well and created a host of chances," he said.

"It's just our conversion rate has not been as good. But today we were fantastic. For us to score five goals and play like we did was outstanding."

Luis Suarez bagged a hat-trick in the game, with goals from Nuri Sahin and captain Steven Gerrard completing the rout. Steve Morison and Grant Holt were on target for the hosts.
