A brace from Luis Suarez puts Liverpool in control against Norwich City at half-time.

Two goals from Luis Suarez have given Liverpool a 2-0 lead over Norwich City at half-time at Carrow Road.

The visitors wasted no time in taking the lead, with Suarez being allowed too much time on the edge of the area to pick his spot with an accurate strike in the second minute.

Norwich responded well to the early setback and the Liverpool defence were left to thank Pepe Reina as the Spaniard reacted well to keep out a Simeon Jackson effort.

Brendan Rodgers has recently voiced his concern with the way Suarez has been treated by referees, and the Liverpool boss looked frustrated again when the Urugayan striker was denied a penalty after a challenge from Leon Barnett.

However, the fortunes of Suarez changed before half-time as he tackled Michael Turner before approaching the Norwich goal and slotting past John Ruddy for his second of the afternoon.
