Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah reportedly avoids retrospective after a clash with Stoke City defender Bruno Martins Indi in Saturday's Premier League clash at Anfield.

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has reportedly avoided a three-match ban for his part in a clash with Stoke City defender Bruno Martins Indi.

During the first half of Saturday's goalless draw, Salah swung out an arm after seemingly being unhappy with a challenge from Martins Indi, but the referee opted to take no action.

However, while former Premier League official Dermot Gallagher claimed that he would be 'astonished' if Salah faced any action, a report suggested that there was a possibility of the Egyptian international being ruled out for Liverpool's remaining domestic games.

However, according to Sky Sports News, a panel of three ex-officials failed to come to a unanimous decision regarding the incident, meaning that the player will not be sidelined by a suspension.

Liverpool currently hold a six-point advantage over fifth-placed Chelsea in the race to qualify for next season's Champions League.
