Daniel Sturridge is targeting a top-four finish at Liverpool and sees no reason why they cannot achieve it.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has insisted that he is not interested in how many goals he scores, but in securing a top-four finish this season.

The 23-year-old, who joined from Chelsea at the start of the transfer window, scored his third goal in three games as Liverpool beat Norwich City 5-0 yesterday.

"I am not interested in how many goals I score, I am interested in where we finish as a team," he told the club's official website.

"The main aim for me is to get us into the top four and play Champions League football next season. It's what everybody wants.

"That's a realistic target for us and I don't see why we can't get there."

Liverpool's win yesterday took them up to seventh in the Premier League, level on points with Arsenal, who have two games in hand.
