Liverpool striker Luis Suarez could be missing for most of January after he was hit with a second FA charge in as many months.
The Uruguayan has been accused of making an obscene gesture at Fulham fans during the Reds' 1-0 defeat at Craven Cottage on Monday.
The 24-year-old has also been charged with making racist comments at Manchester United defender Patrice Evra during a game in October.
If he is found guilty of both allegations, Suarez could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Both cases are likely to be heard before Christmas.
